maybe audience didn't find it that nice. but from a mghandbeller2007, i say that this is the best performance we have ever given. i guess out journey together has been bittersweet. we fell many times, struggled to pick ourselves, had success, fell again but nonetheless picked ourselves up and here we are for the better.
unlike handbellchoir2006 which was smiles all the way.. maybe except for opening ceramony. haha, i think both years has been great in different aspects. its just pretty sad that mghandbellchoir2007's gna end real soon. hm well at least we ended it with a blast right?
okay so anyway, the day started off with chionging of tingxie and having tuition. whatever. then rushed off for the carnival. hahahaha 3/4 of the time was spent looking for the tennis courts :P we so so couldn't find it. hahahaha. because monica had to find her brother. but apparently her we still couldn't find her brother there. as usual, we ended up buying food hah. for breakfast. and then we started wondering why can't barker just give us some of their facilities then it won't be so easy to get lost and we'll all be happy.
rushed home and finally monica lee can understand why my mummy always picks me up from school. because its farr! actually not for me anymore, but for people who climb it for the first time would find it very tiring. (now i'm wondering, maybe cherry will take 30min hahaha!)
showered, then went to school. oh wait we found out that there wasn't enough lunch for monica, huiying and i so we drove through macs. went to school and ate, then volunteered to wash the drink dispenser. started persuading the pri school to take somemore of the juice (which was actually diluted), with me at the side reminding them to do toilet first before leaving haha. apparently it was the leftover from the DSA talk? yeah then we started on the task of washing the big thing. and the pri school girls found it so interesting they just crowded around us watching us wash? yupyup then after that we had to carry it into the staffroom! and then because ms sim forgot to bring her card, she had to call the only other two people who were in the staffroom :P
ms sim: (on the phone) hellooo ms cheonggg. i errr forgot to bring my key (sheepish smile) can you help me open the door pleassse?
monica: (bangs on the door even though ms sim said not to hahaha)
ms sim: hahahahahahahahahaha (okay she just started laughing really badly on the phone, and we all just stare at her)
and while she was still laughing,
BOOM.
okay that was the door. it was opened really violently by ms or and i was standing behind the door :/ scary. but then you see tiffany has very fast reaction so its okay :)
brought the thing in. and the dining table area is so nice and cosy :D i like. anyone would like it i think haha.
went down to find that all the stuff was already at the concourse. found the sandra and company and now sandra's new name is SALADA! :D funny. hahaha. rui and moni came up with that name. its sandra and laoda combined together hahhaha.
went ultra high in the bus. huihui the senior who is er 4years my senior i think? started talking and talking to us. first time see laoda, or may i say, salada kena bullied. so interesting haha. yes and then as usual, the things that all past and present mg girls can automatically talk about is about teachers :D and huihui was telling us about how laoshi chased her around the esplanade to put more blusher which she dosen't like i think? hahaha. and then the JC people started talking about the differences between huachong and NJ which was really funny toooo.
reached SCH. okay i'm really sorry to any scgs handbeller who comes here, but yeah. but scgs was really, REALLY xiaojie. everyone MUST take lift (while like half of us had to climb the stairs) and they only can do things when the teacher tells them (while ms sim, laoshi and laoshi happily all disappear to dunno where leaving us alone haha) okay so we're more independent than them :D and then after the whole thing it was really obvious, they difference between a scgs girl and a mg girl. scgs girls. they were just whispering to themselves and really shy, while mg girls just can't stop talking and getting high :D cedar wasn't much different from us, except that we're probably more mad than them hahaha. and they have A LOT of people. so does scgs.
had full dress, then dinner. okay so mghandbellchoir2007 was promised FRIED RICE WITH CHICKEN AND EGG AND SAUSAGE. & mg alumnae choir was promised BEEHOON. but what did everyone get? mac chicken without mayo and veggie. poor burger, so naked. had to put in our own mayo. and obviously that didn't fill tiffany's stomach :( but anyway, while i was hungry some dear sec2s were sad with the fact that the mac chicken had 13g of fat -.-
and then cherry started her nonsense. okay her nonsense was continuous. so yeah. from the reason why she dosen't want to go to NJ to how to find out whether she's happy or not
finally, the concert. for some reason everyone was freaking out backstage even though we were more or less prepared. and the funniest thing was that the people who were freaking out the most wasn't even playing the first piece. and so we were hugging each other and squeezing each other's hands? and jinhui/ahma was there flapping her arms telling us to relax. and the way she flapped and walked past the whole choir was really funny.
so overall everything was okay! :D cherry played really well for balm! yay. and williamtell was okay though my spasm can be better. i had no time to work it up :( and hungarian hahaha, i think i anyhow played for that anyhow part. but at least i didn't look like i was constipating for the spasm part yay :D
so we got high high again during the intermission! :D while stand by scgs kept looking at me and apparently i look like their ex chair? YAY I KNOW I AM SO POPULAR AHAHAHAHHA. but that was very weird. and the petty started molesting people o.O and rui and monica started being a train, in anticipation for choochoo. and i got so jealous of our sec4 photographers because they looked sooo comfortable in SCHOOL SHOES & SCHOOL UNIFORM x(
then syf songs. when the lights boomed on, WAH. i need not elaborate further. just ask any sec3 handbeller except for priscilla. but SYF PIECES WERE REALLY NICE! the nicest we ever played. the mart for the last note of shiny steps, char joanne and my marts for choochoo, and mrs aw did her part really well x) though the whole choir was literally laughing outloud on stage before and after she did it hahahahhaa. oh well, promise kept. :D
then scgs, cedar and alumnae. seeing alumnae play feels kinda sad cos i wanna play with them too! but anyway, their pieces were really good too. at least very good for a less than 7practices? somemore it was never full attendance. yup:D
ended with mass ringing, and YAY CHERRY WE DIDN'T SCREW UP! :DDDD though once again i seriously literally dived in to get the E3 :P
and then while waiting for the bus, we sang happy birthday song to cherie yay. happy birthday dear girl! :D
and then it all ended. and that's really sad ):
well what i learnt from all these? a lot of things actually. perseverance, teamwork, learning more about my juniors :D and discovering how mad they actually are, the sec4s ARE really leaving ):, and many more too i guess. one impt thing though too is that i guess i improved a lot? i wouldn't be able to play williamtell and hungarian last year, but i can now, so thats improving right? skills and all, yup and watching out a lot more for mrs aw and dynamics, putting more feel into the piece and all. and of course, learning to trust God in whatever circumstances :)
so here's a well done to everyone :D ah, you can see the well done stuff on the handbells blog haha.
yes and here's a thank you too to all the people who took the time to come down to watch! only during the first song did i realize that there were THAT many people i know watching. yes a special thank you especially to cheryl who still came in the end =))))) really didn't expect you to turn up! and david who rushed down after the barker carnival. didn't really expect you to be there as well haha. and i'm sorry i didn't see you! oh well, now we're quits cos you didn't see me at the carnival too though i walked past you manymany times at the tennis courts :P
and then to the oh so very distracting people (>_>), jasmine, simon and adena, lesley and antie grace:D, caroline, yan, family, ms or and ms cheong, er now i can't remember who else. oh yes jenny! :D wow your hair has grown hahaha. and she said i looked cute? errrrr. but anyway thanks so much for taking the time to come down! (((((: you're 20 now is it? or 19? haha i can't remember. but it was great fun in Japan with you :D i still remember when the handbellchoir06 gathered in your cool room to practice cos it had the cool light bulb!
now, ineed to start revising my homework and start on end year exams because of something. yeah and there's holiday tml whoohooo.
